Web site builder allowing you to update your school
web site using your web browser at any time.
We give you a free domain name and seamlessly show
your new site at your existing school web address as well. Maintain
your current ISP for that vital school protection of e-mail and
continuing to protect pupils when surfing the web.
No software to install - just needs PCs with latest
versions of IE and Internet connectivity.
Phone tuition - one hour on phone per person as required
(on site tuition at extra cost to suit your needs).
'Sustainability' - Re tutoring of 'new' ICT co-ordinators
is available within the price throughout the year as the need arrives,
allowing you to keep the site fresh if your staff change. You can
also have a second member of staff tutored.
Upgrades to your system - when available at the renewal
date FOC (usually £200 per update). Keep your site current
with the latest updates.
Help when needed - We give telephone help on a local
rate number is available from 8am to 6pm Mon to Fri. In addition
we have an extensive and frequently updated online
help resource centre with functions of the system thoroughly explained.
Options:
for £105 more (one off) you get professional graphic design
of your site plus your home page produced (which you can edit later)
and this installed and ready for you to use on all pages of your
site.
Let us produce the other initial pages for you @ £55 per
page - you can edit later as you wish. A good option to allow you
to get the site up and running quickly, whilst maintaining your
independence for future updates.
On site tuition - you get 60 minutes tuition on the phone
free of charge (standard land line call). If you wish to have several
teacher tutored or on site tuition please ask for prices to suit.
On site fees: Half day 9am to 12am £250 + VAT,
full day session 9am to 4pm £350 + VAT. Extra hours thereafter
as requested @ £55 per hour.
First hour on site £150 further hours (excluding lunch hour)
@ £55 per hour. Tuition rates apply to Herts, Cambs, Essex.
Other counties POA. Sessions may be booked with multiple schools
taking tuition at the same time - up to 8 per session within these
prices. Minimum suggested time 4 hours if more than one school at
a time. Evening sessions POA. Computers must be provided with adequate
Internet provision with IE6.
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens with our e-mail filtering and pupil web filtering?
You retain your existing obligations to your existing ISP or LEA
for e-mail and web access. We provide a services for building your
site only, which will be viewable via your existing school domain
name.
Who owns the site / copyright of content? You own your site
and have copy right of your content. You can move it away from our
services if you so wish, simply using FTP. Because the pages produced
are static the site can be moved to any other web space as is (although
you would lose the ability to update it using our system).
What happens if a member of staff who administers the site leaves?
Our sustainability programme means that you can have two or more
of your staff tutored by us over the phone and if a member of staff
leaves, we will re tutor the new staff member for you at no additional
cost.
'Sustainability' terms: Retutoring of staff applies to
up to four members of staff in an academic year for up to an hours
phone tuition each. NB telephone help for technical problems is
free and over and above this time period.
