Make the content - copy writing
Here are fourteen questions
that you can ask yourself in order to shape your web site.
These are the questions we use when producing copy for customer's
web sites:
Q1. What do you see
as your unique selling point?
Q2. Why do people come to you rather than going elsewhere?
Q3. If you wanted to employ a company like yours, what
would be your
criteria?
Q4. How does your company fit the criteria you described
in Q3?
Q5. What kind of jobs are involved in each of the different
areas your
business covers?
Q6. What geographic areas does your business cover?
Q7. What size of client does your business cater for?
(individuals, small to
medium enterprises, corporates, international corporates)
Q8. When a person visits your website what do you want
them to do? (Write to
you? Phone you? E-mail you? Fill in an online form?)
Q9. How long has the business been going?
Q10. Give a brief history of your business, particularly
any highlights.
Q11. What level of experience can you bring to each
area that your business
covers?
Q12. What is it about your company that would make
potential clients
confident in using its services?
Q13. If your business has a mission statement, what
is it?
Q14. Case studies, for each one give:
(a) The type of customer (name & location if permitted)
(b) The problem they were trying to solve
(c) What you did to solve it
(d) What was the result
(e) Quote from you about it
(f) If possible: Quote from client about how you did
business and/or the
result
