Menus
Menus help people to get around your website. You can add a menu
marker in the template
and where this marker is, your automated menu will appear. At it's
simplest level, you simply add pages and the system will add them
into the menu when you republish.
Under the menu set up page, you can build a menu structure with
sections and subsections, within which web pages sit, so that you
can have a deeper structure to your website.
The menu set up page has two views, one simple (for every day use)
and a complex view, with
more features for the menu
settings. The complex menu set
up view has the details below but also allows set
up of the style and form of the site menus. Click
here for more details.
Simple menu setup page.
On the simple menu set up view you have two sections
1) Add / edit menu headings

Type the menu heading for a new section in the Menu / sub menu box,
add a display order number (1 appears higher in the list on a menu
than 2, for instance). When you click 'add section' you need to
have decided whether this is to be a new main section or whether
it is to be a subsection (which will only show when a user f the
website clicks the section that it is in.
To edit a section or subsection name, click 'Edit' in the section
list (shown below).
2) Menu list

The menu list appears further down the page. This shows the sections
and any subsections which may be within them. They are headings,
which only show on the menu if there are web pages sitting in the
section or subsection. In the example above, you can see 'Home',
which is a main section and company history, which appears within
this as a subsection. When producing a web page, it can be placed
within either the section 'Home' or within it's subsection 'Company
history'.
