Editing meta tags
You can edit the meta tags on the web page:
You can edit the
Page title: Appears on the title bar of the web page (this
web page says 'Editing meta tags' on the top). It is the most important
meta tag and generally is displayed as the big bold title within
search engine results
Description: If you have they keywords within the description
also, this can be picked up and used by search engines as the description
which appears below the results. It is a good opportunity to try
to get some marketing words over to encourage a click to your website,
but will not appear necesarily, unless you get the phrase with the
key words being searched for.
Keywords: This allows you to put a few things in the web
page which suppliment the web page, for instance UK, London, Essex,
etc..
Page choices: Not a meta tag but leads to the page
choices page, which allows you further optimisation options,
such as page name and html file name used.
