Tables

Central to complex layouts is the use of tables. They provide the basis of flexibility allowing exact or relative positioning of items such as text areas, images etc. on the page. More explanation of tables is provided here.

Split a cell

Split the current cell in two if the cells where merged earlier (i.e. colspan of the current cell is greater than 1)

Example:

See the table below, with two cells.

  Place the mouse in this box or 'cell'

Click the split cell icon:

  this is the result--> cell added to right
